Welcome to A Girl’s Guide to Getting Lost.

For the walkers, the runners, the hikers, the meanderers and the wanderers.

Hello, Katie Hill here! I am a graduate student, a freelance writer, a runner/hiker/solo traveller, a diehard Boston sports fan and a book nerd. I hail from the small town of Canton, Connecticut, but I moved to downtown Boston in 2015 to get my Bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in environmental studies from Emerson College. In 2019 I packed up a U-Haul trailer and drove across the country to my current home in Missoula, where I am working towards my Master’s degree in the Environmental Science and Natural Resource Journalism program at the University of Montana. I am also building my skillset and portfolio as a freelance environmental journalist. Check out my clips to see my published work, or take a look at my blog for random musings on travel, outdoor recreation, environmental issues, and my running commentary on blindly grasping at a writing career. Please don’t hesitate to reach out through my contact page, or send me an email.
